The call aims to strengthen the R&D capacity of domestic research centres of strategic importance and to develop a competitive research infrastructure in the European research arena and thus to increase the potential of producing cutting-edge results through the independent or collaboration-based research projects of excellent research centres. As a mirror call it provides complementary funds of HUF 4 billion to the GINOP-2.3.2 scheme announced earlier for similar purposes, but for the less developed regions only.
