Travel restrictions imposed due to the coronavirus pandemic significantly affect the implementation of projects funded under the bilateral science and technology (S&T) cooperation calls. To assess the impact of the pandemic, the NRDI Office invited 147 affected beneficiaries whose projects are in the implementation stage to participate in an online survey.

41% completed the questionnaire which was available from 23 June to 15 July 2020. Based on the responses, the NRDI Office extended the implementation period set out in the 2018 and 2019 S&T calls by 12 months by adding an extra milestone.

The implementation period of the calls changes as follows:

Affected calls Original period Modified period
2018–2.1.x-TÉT-xx 24 months 36 months
